Performing Other Network Tests
Chapter 8
Overview
If there is a problem with a DIRECTV installation, you can run network tests to help you
troubleshoot the problem. These tests include:
• Guided Mode
• EIV Plus
• Satellite Tune test
• Transponder Survey
• Cable Resistance test
• In-Line test
• SWiM LF Power test
• SWiM Channel Assignments test
The AIM guides you through the steps for each test.
If you encounter an issue while performing a test and want to
save information for reference later, you can capture an image
of the AIM screen and save it as a record.
