2. Remove the retainer (1), valve spring (2), valve
stem seal (3) and intake and exhaust valve from
the cylinder head.
CAUTION
Valve stem seal should be replaced with new
one.
3. Remove the water director (1) from the cylinder
head.
NOTE : If water director is corroded, remove it. If not,
leave it.
4. Remove the cylinder gasket (1).
CAUTION
When removing the cylinder head gasket, check
the cylinder head and crankcase for any damage.
Inspection
1. Check to see whether valve cap (1) and retainer
(2) have any irregular wear.
2. Check the intake and exhaust valve (3) for any
stuck, crack or damage.
