CHAPTER 4 FINE-ADJUSTMENT AND OPTION SETTING
● Before adjusting the glue amount, make sure that the hot melt glue is completely
melted.
● The temperature around the glue tank is very high. Be careful when you adjust the
glue amount.
● Be careful not drop the supplied tools inside the glue tank.
● High voltage of electricity supplied to the glue tank may cause an electric shock. Be
careful.
1-9 Adjusting the Nipping Station
When the spine of the finished booklet is round or when there is some space between the book block
and the cover, you may need to adjust the height of the nipping station. Check the finished booklets
and adjust the height of the nipping station if necessary.
Nipper level
adjustment access
1.
Open the nipper level adjustment
access.
2.
Move the adjustment lever seeing the
scale.
Fine-adjustment range:
–1.5 to +0.5 mm (–0.06 to +0.02 inch)
Base position: -0.5
Turning the lever to the + direction will raise
the height of the nipping station.
Turning the lever to the – direction will
lower the height of the nipping station.
3.
Close the nipper level adjustment
access.
