CHAPTER 4 FINE-ADJUSTMENT AND OPTION SETTING
1-3. Adjusting the Nipper Guide
When the folding position of the cover does not align with the scoring position, or the cover is out of
position on the book block, fine adjust the nipper guide (front, back) and positioning fingers.
Do not touch the nipping section while the machine is in operation. Your fingers may
get caught in the nipper.
Nipping Guide
Select Button
1.
Press the nipper guide select button.
The screen for adjusting the nipper guide
will appear and the nipping station will
go up. If you have not performed a size
change, the screen will not appear.

Press the move buttons 1 to 4 to adjust the positions of the nipper guide (front)
and nipper guide (back).
Fine-adjustment range: ±25.0 mm (0.98 inch)
Move button 1: The nipper guides (front, back) move to the non-operator’s side.
Move button 2: The nipper guides (front, back) move to the operator’s side.
Move button 3: The nipper guides (front, back) move closer to each other.
Move button 4: The nipper guides (front, back) move farther from each other.
Increment change button:
You can select the increment from 0.1 mm/0.5 mm/1.0 mm (0.004 inch/0.02 inch/0.04 inch).
: 0.1 mm (0.004 inch)
: 0.5 mm (0.02 inch)
: 1.0 mm (0.04 inch)
