17.4 Setting the guide plates at the folder

Proper setting
The leaf springs (6) hold the guide plates (1) down by exerting a low
pressure. The pressure must be set in such a way that the elastic guide
plates (1) can be easily lifted by the fed piping strips or by the flap.
To adjust the guide plates at the folder:
1. Lower the folder or remove the folding station.
2. Check the position of the guide plates (1) in relation to the needles
and the folder sole.
3. Loosen the screw (2).
4. Set the guide plates (1) sideways.
