Version 2.03 27. Juni 2008
3.2.1 Cooling (solenoid valve)
Twin control by majority (UA 111 X Zone 1 only)
With the UA 111 X controller, the compressors are controlled as a function of the supply air sensors for the first
temperature zone (see description below, Section 3.2.2.1). The cooling relay energizes as a function of the com-
pressors whenever a minimum of one compressor is started.
Majority explained (varying with version):
Version 1.09 and lower Above Version 1.09
Even number of supply air sensors 1): Half supply air sensors + 1 2): Half supply air sensors
Odd number of supply air sensors 3): Half supply air sensors rounded up
Example:
1): Total 6 supply air sensors: 4 or more sensors = Majority
2): Total 6 supply air sensors: 3 or more sensors = Majority
3): Total 5 supply air sensors: 3 or more sensors = Majority
On−off control by all connected supply air sensors (UA 111 XP Zone 1 only)
Control is made by all supply air sensors of the first zone. The cooling relay de−energizes when temperature re-
aches the setpoint (switch−off value) on all connected supply air sensors or the setpoint for antifreeze protection
on one supply air sensor. The cooling relay re−energizes when temperature has passed the switching differential
on the majority of the connected supply air sensors (e.g. 3 out of 5).
On−off control (UA 111 X Zone 2, UA 111 XP Zone 2 and UR 141 only)
Control is made by one temperature sensor (supply air for UA 111, room air for UR 141). The cooling relay de−
energizes when temperature reaches the setpoint (switch−off value) on the respective temperature sensor. The
cooling relay re−energizes with the set hysteresis.
Cooling relay operation
Operation of the cooling relay takes place according to the cooling safety requirements and is governed by the
controller type selected:
UA 111 X, UA 111 XP, UR 141 Zone 2 (NT): N.O. control, i.e. cooling is OFF when case controller is
de−energized.
UR 141 Zone 1 (LT): N.C. control, i.e. cooling is ON when case controller is de−energized.
