Manual defrosting
Manual defrosting (as required for example in servicing) can be initiated with
S AL 300 Operator Terminal
S CI 3000 Store Computer
by choosing Menu 5 Remote Operation – Select Refrigeration Point (CAN bus address) − 3 Timer − 2 Defrost
Timer and setting ON in the line Man. Defrost
or with
S Host Computer (see description of LDSWin software)
When defrosting is initiated (by the controller or in LDSWin) and is terminated or prevented by de-
mand defrosting or termination by defrost sensor, the full safe defrost time must first expire before
defrosting can again be initiated manually.
If a second manual defrost cycle is to initiated directly following, the previous cycle must first be ter-
minated:
Termination by controller: Menu 5 Remote Operation – Select Refrigeration Points (CAN bus ad-
dress) − 3 Timer − 2 Defrost Timer – Set "Man . Defrost" parameter (Menu 3−2) to OFF.
Termination in LDSWin: Click on Terminate Defrost button.
Manual defrosting can then be initiated again immediately.
On the UR 141, parameters cannot be set for a second defrost stage or heating circuit control..
Compressor control during defrosting
Controller type: UA 111 X
Compressors are operated the same as the cooling relays during defrosting.
Controller type: UA 111 XP
Compressors are not stopped during defrosting. Compressor control continues through the neutral zone pres-
sure switch alone during this time.
3.2.4 Fan control with case controllers
Fan control in multidecks (controller type UR 111 X and UA 111 XP)
The fan continues running during cooling and defrosting. Fans are stopped for an adjustable interval when ex-
ternal setpoint toggle is made from Setpoint Set 1 to Setpoint Set 2, but not conversely. This is necessary to en-
sure trouble−free closing of the roller blind (e.g. at Lighting OFF).
Operation of the fan relay is inverted, meaning that the contact is open when the fan is running and closed when
the fan is off.
