Chapter 2 Adjusting Screens

To set the enhancement ratio of ContrastEnhancer
This function allows you to automatically adjust the contrast according to the darkness or brightness of an
image and change in scenes. You can set the level of the adjustment.
Adjustable Range
Enhanced, Standard, Off
Procedure
1. Choose “Color” from the Setting menu, and press
.
2. Choose “Advanced Settings” from “Color”, and press
.
3. Choose “ContrastEnhancer” from the “Advanced Settings” menu, and press
.
“ContrastEnhancer” appears.
4. Use or for adjustment.
5. Press
to exit.
Attention
• Using this function may make some color gradations unavailable for display.

To reduce motion blur
Reduces image blurs (motion blurs) which occur when displaying animated images.
Motion blur occurs when the eye recognizes liquid crystal transitions which come from changing screens
(frames). When “Turbo 240” is set to “On”, the backlight ickers in sync with liquid crystal transition

so the
change cannot be seen, thereby achieving clear images with less blur.
*1 This monitor converts 120 Hz input signals into 240 Hz within the panel, and doubles the refresh rate to draw two
images per frame. At the rst display the screen is refreshed, and at the second display the screen is displayed
correctly. When “Turbo 240” is set to “On”, the backlight is turned off for the rst display.

3. Choose “Turbo 240” from the “Advanced Settings” menu, and press

The “Turbo 240” menu appears.
4. Select “On” or “Off” with or , and press .

Attention
• When the Turbo 240 setting is changed, the screen is not displayed for about a second.
• Eye fatigue may occur if the eye senses the ickering of the backlight. In such a case, turn the setting to “Off”.
• When the “Turbo 240” setting is “On”, the screen is less bright than when the setting is “Off”.
• When the color mode is “FPS1” or “FPS2”, the “Turbo 240” setting is xed as “On”.
• When the color mode is “Web”, the “Turbo 240” setting is xed as “Off”.
