1.9 Vapor Recovery Application
Converter efciency
The measurement accuracy is highly depen-
dent on the converter efciency: If this is too
low, the converter material needs replace-
ment.
To measure the converter efciency, one
has to compare the measurement values of
CH1 with and without having the gas owing
through the converter. This requires activating
the valve V1.
For the ease of use, special PLC and calcu-
lator programs are provided with analyzers
for vapor recovery applications, automatically
calculating the efciency each time after a ca-
libration has been performed. The calculated
value shows up as a measurement result on
the measurement display.
To calculate the efciency without a prece-
ding calibration, you can also start the PLC
program manually from the webbrowser
interface.

instructions about when and how to replace
the converter material. The appendix contains
listings of the PLC and calculator programs,
enabling automatic converter efciency cal-
culation.
