SS500/SS2000 Analyzer
412 4900002285 rev. B 3-25-20
2. Allow the sample to flow until all residual gas has dissipated from the
lines as indicated by no flow on the sample and sample bypass flow
meters.
3. Turn off power to the analyzer or begin maintenance procedure.
A sample supply shut-off valve for the SS500 simplified sample
system is recommended for this procedure, whether for short-
term or long-term shutdown. This valve is to be installed by the
customer upstream at the sample tap.
Process samples may contain hazardous material in potentially
flammable and/or toxic concentrations. Personnel should have a
thorough knowledge and understanding of the physical properties
and safety precautions for the sample contents before operating
the SCS.
If the system will not be out of service for an extended period, it
is advised that power remain applied to the sample transport line
heat trace, if applicable, and that any vents are closed or
protected to prevent any contamination.
