7.3 Topping up reagents

Warning!
• When working with reagents, always observe the warnings on the safety data sheets.
• Wear acid-resistant protective gloves, protective goggles and a protective laboratory coat!
• In addition, adhere to the regulations applicable in your country and to your line of work
governing the handling of caustic chemicals. Rinse off splashes immediately with plenty of water
and 1 % sodium hydrocarbonate solution. Consult a physician and show him/her the information
on the canister.
Only use original canisters for measurement. No liability is accepted for damage resulting from the
use of other chemicals.
The stripping reagent and standards C1 and C2 must be topped up or replaced. To prepare the
reagents, see the "Preparing the chemicals" section.
