9. <Belt tension measurement>

Input the following values to the tensimeter.

 MASS: 1.0 g/m

 WIDTH: 10.0 mm/R

 SPAN: 1170 mm

10. Bring the microphone of the tensimeter closer to the position shown in Figure

4-17.

11. Press [MEASURE] on the tensimeter and flip the belt with tweezers or a similar

tool.

12. Measure the belt tension for three times, and check if the average is within the

standards.

 Within the standards: Go to Step 13

 Out of the standards: Go to Step 15

13. Click [Finish].

14. Turn the printer OFF to finish the adjustment.

P O I N T

Bring the microphone within 5 mm from the belt but do not let it

touch the belt.

C A U T I O N

 Be sure to measure the tension of the belt on the upper side. If

you measure the tension of the belt on the lower side, the

measuring value may be inaccurate.

 Flip the belt as weak as the tensimeter can measure it.

 Be careful not to let the microphone touch the belt when

flipping the belt.
