When the ERBECRYO 2 is installed on an ERBECRYO 2 cart, the rear of the unit with the
connections faces the ground. See Fig.
5-1.
Connecting the waste gas tube
1. Attach the waste gas tube to the waste gas nozzle (1). This procedure is recom-
mended particularly where activation takes longer. See warning: "Dangerous CO
2
concentration in room".
2. Pull back the closure of the waste gas tube.
3. Hold the closure tightly.
4. Slide the waste gas tube fully on to the waste gas nozzle.
5. Release the closure.
6. Direct the waste gas into the anesthetic suction system or the open air.
Connecting the gas tube to the gas
connection
1. Attach the gas tube to the gas connection (2).
2. Unscrew the nut by hand.
3. Then tighten the nut using a 19 mm open-end wrench.
Connecting the footswitch
1. Plug the footswitch connector into the footswitch socket (3).
2. Locate the correct angle of engagement by turning the connector (see illustra-
tion).
3. Tighten the retainer nut on the connector by hand.
