• Transport of heavy objects (except for personal luggage).
• Operation on public roads contrary to the requirements of road traffic regulations (StVO).
• Overcoming obstacles that exceed the specifications in section "3.1.6 Driving characteristics".
• Use on the road is not advisable due to the maximum design speed of only 6 km/h. On public
transport, we recommend that you only use it at walking speed. Please also note the legal regula-
tions of the country in which you use the wheelchair.
2.3. Dangers during operation
In the following sections, the special types of dangers that can occur in connection with operation
are named and described. To avoid these dangers, please refer to the instructions in the following
sections.
2.3.1. Dangers due to moving parts
During use of the equipment, moving parts can cause serious injuries. Please note the following:
• Never reach into moving parts during operation.
• Regularly check the function and condition of all moving parts.
2.3.2. Dangers on public roads
Users of wheelchairs are subject to the same rights and obligations in road traffic as pedestrians.
The
use of public roads is therefore not permitted. Please note the following:
• The wheelchair should only be operated on pavements. You are not allowed to drive on cycle-only
paths.
• Please observe the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) when travelling on public roads.
• Ensure that the tread depth of the tyres is sufficient (see section "8.3. Quarterly maintenance").
2.3.3. Dangers on public transport
The wheelchair enables the use of public transport. To prevent dangers, please observe the follo-
wing instructions:
• Always ask other people for help when using public transport.
• The wheelchair may only be used for boarding and alighting from public transport.
• Fold up the wheelchair and stow it safely when you leave the equipment on public transport.
• Make sure the brakes are engaged while using public transport.
