8. Maintenance of the wheelchair
When used as intended, the wheelchair is subject to a recommended maintenance schedule. This is
a guideline for carrying out the maintenance work and does not provide any information about the
actual scope of work required on the vehicle.
In the event of defects and and necessary maintenance work beyond the scope of the following
maintenance schedule, contact the importer (see section "1.9 Directory" on page 08), your specialist
dealer or the medical supply store.

Risk of injury due to inadequate
maintenance work
The equipment may only be serviced by persons who have read these operating instructions. Per-
form the following steps before and after maintenance and repair work:
Disconnect the equipment from the power supply.
Secure the equipment against being switched on again with suitable measures.
After completion of the work, replace any removed protective devices and secure the existing
fastenings.
Please also observe the safety instructions in section "2 Safety" on page 09.
WARNING
Risk of injury from unsuitable spare parts
The manufacturer's spare parts must be used for the equipment's assemblies and parts.
In the event of defects in individual assemblies and parts, contact the importer or manufacturer
immediately.
Type and frequency
The time periods indicated are based on average working conditions. Higher loads or unusual condi-
tions require a higher number of inspections for the same term.
8.1. Storage of the wheelchair
Store the wheelchair in a dry place.
If the wheelchair is stored for a longer period of time, the instructions for storing the batteries can
be found in the enclosed battery guide or downloaded from the ergoflix website.
8.2. Before setting off
Perform the following checks before each journey:
Visually inspect the wheelchair.
Check that the motor brakes are working properly by briefly starting up and releasing the joystick.
