• Check the parking brakes and the shift levers are functioning properly.
• Check the condition and function of the steering and drive wheels. Pay particular attention to free
running and damage.
8.3. Monthly maintenance
Perform the following checks on a regular basis as indicated:
Frames
Check the wheelchair as part of a visual inspection. It must not be damaged. Frame parts must not
be missing.
Wheel fixings and adjustment screws
Check that screws, nuts and other connecting elements are tight. Tighten all bolts and nuts of the
wheelchair regularly with the supplied tool.
Electrical installation
Perform the following work on a monthly basis:
DANGER
Danger to life from electric shock.
Electrical current may flow during wheelchair maintenance. Contact with high voltage may result
in serious injury and injury resulting in death.
• Before carrying out maintenance work on the electrical installation, the equipment must be
disconnected from the power supply and secured against reconnection.
• Check the electrical installation for loose connections and, if necessary, have them fixed by the
dealer in the event of a defect.
• Check the cables of the equipment and, if necessary, have them replaced by the dealer.
• Check plug connections and have them replaced by the dealer if necessary.
8.4. Quarterly maintenance
Perform the following work on a quarterly basis:
• Check the equipment according to the monthly maintenance.
• Check all screw connections and suspensions of the wheelchair.
• Check the tread depth of the tires (the minimum tread depth is 1 mm).
• Clean the equipment thoroughly to remove all dirt.
