7.4.1. Changing the operating mode
Driving mode
To activate Driving mode, proceed as follows:
1. Move the switches on the parking brakes towards the ground until you feel them engage.
The parking brakes have been activated. The wheelchair can be used in Driving mode.
Push mode
To activate Push mode, proceed as follows:
1. The wheelchair can only be pushed manually when it is switched off.
Move the switches on the parking brakes towards the backrest until you feel them engage.
The parking brakes have been deactivated. The wheelchair can be pushed.
7.4.2. Driving off
To accelerate the wheelchair forward, proceed as follows:
1. Gently move the joystick forward.
The wheelchair will move forward.
To accelerate the wheelchair backwards, proceed as follows:
1. Gently move the joystick backwards.
The wheelchair will move backwards.
To accelerate at maximum speed, proceed as follows:
1. Carefully move the joystick forwards or backwards as far as it will go.
The wheelchair accelerates at the set maximum speed.
NOTE
Good to know:
When the electromagnetic braking system engages, a clearly audi-
ble clicking noise is heard every time the vehicle starts up. This has
no effect – you can start as normal.
