7. Operating the wheelchair
CAUTION
Risk of injury and property damage due to moisture
Please observe the following instructions to avoid damage to the wheelchair drive and injuries
due to malfunctions:
• Only use and store the wheelchair in a dry environment.
• Do not use the wheelchair in severe weather conditions.
• Do not clean the wheelchair under running water.
7.1. Getting in and out
CAUTION
Risk of injury when getting in and out of the wheelchair carelessly
Please note the following instructions to avoid injury when getting in and out:
• Activate the parking brake before getting in and out.
• Ask a second person for help if you can't get in and out safely on your own.
• Do not lean on the operating module or the armrests.
• Do not stand on the footrest.
When getting in or out, proceed as follows:
1. Place the wheelchair as close as possible to where you want to get in or out.
2. Align the steering wheels parallel to the drive wheels.
3. Make sure the wheelchair is switched off.
4. Make sure the parking brake is engaged.
5. Fold the footrest upwards.
6. Release the locking lever and fold the armrest upwards on the entry or exit side.
7. Carefully get out of the wheelchair or carefully sit in the wheelchair.
CAUTION
Damage to the footrest due to high loads
When getting in and out, please ensure that no load is placed on
the footrest. This can severely damage the footrest.
