6.1. Assembling the wheelchair
The wheelchair is delivered fully assembled and folded, with the exception of the operating
module. Please note the FlixStart guide in the box lid as well as the following instructions when
setting up the equipment for the first time.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to weight
The total weight of the wheelchair including batteries is 28.1 kg. If carried out carelessly, there is a
risk of injury when folding and unfolding the wheelchair. To avoid this, please observe the following
instructions:
• Before folding or unfolding, make sure that all components of the wheelchair are securely
screwed together.
• If possible, assemble the wheelchair with the help of a second person.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to pinching and crushing
There is a risk of being crushed on moving parts when folding and unfolding the wheelchair.
Please note the following:
• Only grasp the wheelchair by fixed frame parts.
• Do not grasp the wheelchair at the joints of moving parts, such a s hinges.
• Avoid jerky and fast movements.
• Work with care.
6.1.1. Unpacking
The wheelchair is delivered folded up in a transport box. For additional protection during transport,
it is stored in customised packaging material and additionally protected by a foil bag.
To unpack the wheelchair, proceed as follows:
1. Use a knife to carefully cut the adhesive tape on the top of the box.
2. Open the box and remove the packaging material on top.
3. Lay the box on its side on the floor or tilt it to the side at a 90°angle.
4. Carefully pull the wheelchair out of the box using the push handle.
5. Remove the remaining protective film.
The wheelchair is ready for assembly.
