7.4.3. Steering
DANGER
Risk of injury due to careless steering
To avoid injury and property damage when driving around curves and corners, please observe the
following instructions:
• Slow down in front of a curve.
• Keep sufficient lateral distance from obstacles.
• Observe your surroundings to be able to react appropriately and quickly to dangerous
situations.
To steer the wheelchair, proceed as follows:
1. Move the joystick in the desired direction while driving or when stationary.
The wheelchair performs the desired change of direction.
7.4.4. Braking
The electromagnetic brake of the wheelchair is activated when Driving mode has been selected.
Warning: the braking distance can be significantly longer on slopes than on flat surfaces

To avoid injury and property damage, please observe the following instructions:
• Practice using the wheelchair brake before setting off.
• Please note that at a maximum speed of 6 km/h, the wheelchair has a braking distance of up to
1 metre. This increases on damp surfaces.
To brake, proceed as follows:
1. Release the joystick slowly.
The wheelchair brakes.
