5.2. Transport
5.2.1. Transport by vehicle
DANGER
Risk of injury when used as a vehicle seat
The wheelchair must not be used as a seat in motor vehicles. There is a risk of serious injury and
death.
Only transport the wheelchair without occupants.
Only transport the wheelchair in the boot or load compartment of the vehicle.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to improper securing
If the wheelchair is not properly secured in the vehicle during transport, there is a risk of serious
injury to the vehicle occupants in the event of a collision or sudden braking manoeuvres.
Secure the wheelchair against slipping during transport with suitable straps, tension straps or
hooks.
Never use the same seat belt to secure the wheelchair and vehicle occupants.
Secure the wheelchair only on fixed frame parts.
Activate the parking brakes so that the wheelchair cannot roll away.

When transporting in vehicles, please note the following points:
Before transport, remove the operating module and store it in the accessory compartment (under
the seat).
Do not place any objects on the wheelchair during transport.
If possible, always lift the wheelchair into the vehicle with a second person. Grasp only fixed parts
of the frame.
