4.2.1. Footrest
The footrest is used to secure the user's feet. This stabilises the sitting position and prevents the
feet from coming into contact with the ground while driving. If the wheelchair is to be folded, the
footrest is folded upwards.
CAUTION
Damage to the footrest due to high loads
When getting in and out, please ensure that no load is placed on
the footrest. This can severely damage the footrest or tip over the
wheelchair.
4.2.2. Lap belt
The lap belt is used to secure the user on the seat of the wheelchair. It protects the user from slip-
ping out of the seat during sudden braking manoeuvres or when driving on sloping surfaces.
