4.3.2.10 Mains supply
1. Connect appropriate grounding cables to the protective earth (PE) terminals of the four modules to a
common system PE terminal, see Figure 4-27, which shall be located close to the Mains supply
terminals. The PE terminals are located in the back of each module. The uninterrupted power supply
(UPS) offered with MetalJet D2+ system in Figure 4-27 is optional. Follow Excillum document “P-020-
0023 - MetalJet D2+ Security Plus” for detailed installation instructions if a UPS has been purchased
together with the system. Although considered optional, we highly recommend connecting the
common system PE terminal to the Mains inlet PE terminal (dashed red line) to minimize ground loops
that can introduce noise to system sensors.
