10 SPARE PARTS
Below is a list of the most common spare parts needed for maintenance of the MetalJet D2+ source. We
recommend that you stock the parts labeled with “S”, since these are standard wear parts.

A200 Cathode Assembly
The cathode is typically replaced when the source no
longer can maintain its specification. Life time of a
cathode vary depending on operating parameters.

Exit window
The heated exit window has intrinsically a very long
lifetime but may be damaged by other source
failures. (See section 6.5 in the operating manual)

Alloy top off - 50 ml - ExAlloy G1
Alloy top off may be needed in connection with
service of the liquid-metal flow path.

Particle filter
On consecutive jet start-up failures (see section 6.4 in
the manual) this inline filter should be replaced.
Jet-Pump Parts

Jet-pump check valve
One or two check valves should be replaced if the
liquid-metal pump cannot maintain correct operating
pressure.
S-023-0004
Jet-pump drive unit lubricant kit (3 x 0.5l)
The drive unit lubricant should be replaced every
year. This kit contains three bottles to last three
years.

Jet-pump service kit
Diaphragm should be replaced every four years when
also the hydraulic oil and drive unit lubricant is
replaced.
