Mounting position for semi-rotary drives
The mass moment of inertia must not change during the movement. And so the following apply for the
mounting position, dependent on the load:
– load centre of mass in the axis of rotation, load rotation-symmetrical:
} any mounting position permitted.
– load centre of mass in the axis of rotation, load not rotation-symmetrical:
} only vertical mounting position permitted, drive shaft points upward (è Example Fig. 3.3) or
downward.
– load centre of mass outside the axis of rotation (not recommended):
} only vertical mounting position permitted, drive shaft points upward or downward.
