11.5 Manufacturer’s Calibration Certificate
A sensor specific calibration certificate is assigned to the individual pyrometer and based on DAkkS (German
accreditation body). The calibration certificate shows in a detailed list the sensor’s accuracy as deviation values
regarding the measurement normal under defined environmental conditions. In dependence of the sensor
operation (e.g. smooth, harsh environment), a periodic re-calibration needs to be considered to guarantee the
measurement stability and accuracy. The calibration is traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through
National Metrological Institutes, such as NIST.
