12.2.9 Air Purge (E-AP)
The air purge is used to keep dust, moisture, airborne particles, and vapors away from the lens. It can be mounted
before or after the bracket. It must be screwed in fully. Air flows into the 1/8” NPT fitting and out the front aperture.
Airflow should be a maximum of 0.5 to 1.5 l/s (0.13 to 0.4 gallons/s). Clean (filtered) or “instrument” air is
recommended to avoid contaminants from settling on the lens. Do not use chilled air below 10°C (50°F).
Note
Focus the instrument before attaching the air purge collar!
