RGM – Optional Revenue Grade Meter
General Depending on the version, the inverter can be fitted with the optional Revenue Grade Me-
ter. The rating plate on the inverter will show whether an optional Revenue Grade Meter
(RGM) is present or not:
Example: Rating plate on an inverter with optional Revenue Grade Meter (RGM) installed
With the RGM option installed, the inverter measures the amount of energy fed into the grid
in accordance with ANSI C12.1, accuracy class 2%.
Additional measurement devices, sockets, lines and communication links do not need to
be installed either.
RGM Connection
Options
The valid RGM energy value is shown in the LOG menu item under Energy fed, TOTAL
value, on the inverter display.
This value can only be used for calculations if the RGM option is available on the inverter.
IMPORTANT! If ever there are deviations across interfaces, the value shown on the dis-
play must be used.
Fronius Solar.web
As soon as an inverter with the RGM option is connected to Fronius Solar.web, the TOTAL
energy value displayed in the CURRENT data view will match the valid RGM energy value.
This value can only be used for calculations if the RGM option is available on the inverter.
Fronius Push Service
Collected data can be exported to an external server via Fronius Push Service.
The RGM data is transmitted in the format "SolarAPI v1 - CurrentData - Inverter".
Further information about the push service function can be found in the following operating
instructions:
Modbus SunSpec, Inverter Model
With Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU, the RGM data is transferred from the "WH" tab.
