function
"Opportunity Charge” special function:
To extend the usage interval of a bat-
tery, it is possible to recharge it at a
time when it will not be needed, e.g.
during scheduled plant shutdowns.
The following curve settings are avail-
able:

Curve - e.g. RI - Pb-WET
-
Charging time - e.g. 5 - 6 h
When opportunity charging is "ON" and a battery is connected, the following ap-
pears:
Display when RI characteristic is selected
Display for other characteristics (e.g. IUI)
To start opportunity charging:

Use the "Up" key to select the runner symbol (1).

Display when opportunity charging starts
DC connection DC Connection:
The “DC Connection” menu contains
the setting for the DC connection
check.
If the DC connection check is switched
on (“ON”), the connection between the
charger and the battery is checked
during the charging process.
