What to do if Fronius Welding System has no shielding gas?
    • A
      Autumn BarnesJul 26, 2025
If your Fronius Welding System has no shielding gas, the gas cylinder might be empty, so you should change the gas cylinder. The pressure regulator could be defective, in this case you should change the regulator. The gas hose may not be connected or is faulty, so connect the gas hose or replace it if it's faulty. The welding torch could be faulty, so replace the torch. If the gas solenoid valve is defective, call after-sales service.

What to do if Fronius Welding System has poor arc ignition?
    • M
      Marilyn SmithJul 31, 2025
If your Fronius Welding System demonstrates poor arc ignition, first increase the gas pre-flow time. If HF is too weak, see Pt.9 below. If the tungsten electrode is alloyed up, or the pointed tip is damaged, sharpen the tip of the tungsten electrode. If the tungsten electrode is underloaded, use a suitable electrode for the amperage (also start-arc amperage) in question. If the gas nozzle is dirty and HF jumps over the gas nozzle onto the workpiece, use a new ceramic nozzle. If the gas nozzle is too small for the diameter of tungsten electrode used, use a bigger gas nozzle. If the torch is damaged (torch body, protective hose etc. are faulty), replace the damaged parts or change the torch.

      Jeremy LambertAug 4, 2025
If your Fronius Welding System has no welding current, ensure the earth cable is correctly clamped to the workpiece. Check that the earth cable is plugged into the correct socket and is secure. If the torch is faulty, replace it. If there's a short circuit in the welding-current circuit in electrode welding mode (longer than 1 sec.), eliminate the short circuit.

What to do if Fronius Welding System remote control unit does not work?
    • J
      Joseph HernandezAug 9, 2025
If the remote control unit of your Fronius Welding System isn't working (but other functions are OK), make sure the remote control cable is properly connected. If the remote control unit or cable is faulty, replace it. If the 10-pole remote control socket is faulty, replace the remote control socket.

What to do if there is no reaction when torch trigger is actuated on Fronius Welding System?
    • M
      Matthew BrooksAug 14, 2025
If there's no reaction when you actuate the torch trigger on your Fronius Welding System, first ensure the torch control plug is correctly plugged in and secured; check the connection and replace if necessary. If the torch switch (micro-switch) or torch control line is faulty, repair or replace the torch. Also, ensure that the "Power ON" reset time after switch-on (10 sec) has elapsed; wait for about 10 seconds after switching on the mains switch before starting to weld.

What to do if arc sometimes breaks in manual electrode Fronius Welding System?
    • R
      Raymond OwensAug 20, 2025
If the arc sometimes breaks in manual electrode mode on your Fronius Welding System, it could be because the arc-drop voltage of the electrode is too high. If possible, use an alternative electrode.
