Data Center Bridging (DCB)
iSCSI 10Gbit/s interfaces support the Data Center Bridging (DCB) function.
DCB is an enhanced function of traditional Ethernet and a standard for Fabric connections in data
centers. The DCB function allows connections to Converged Enhanced Ethernet (CEE) environ-
ments.

FCoE
This host interface is supported only for the
ETERNUS DX100 S3/DX200 S3.
Fabric is supported as a connection topology. The transfer rate is 10Gbit/s. When using an FCoE in-
terface, connect the ETERNUS DX to the FCoE switch. Direct connections to servers are not sup-
ported.

SAS
Simple, cost effective, and high performance network storage environment can be configured. Di-
rect connections and switch connections to servers are available.
The following types of host interfaces are available:

SAS 12Gbit/s
This host interface is supported only for the ETERNUS DX100 S4/DX200 S4.

SAS 6Gbit/s
This host interface is supported only for the ETERNUS DX100 S3/DX200 S3.
