4.3 Removing Stuck Tapes From Slots
Procedure
1 Unlock the magazine and remove it from the library.
• Use the OCP, see section "5.7 Removing and Replacing a Magazine Using the OCP" (page 92).
• Use the RMU, see section "5.8 Removing and Replacing a Magazine Using the RMU" (page 93)

2 The finger holes on the back side of the magazines (see Figure 4.1) allow the user to pull
the cartridges out of the slot. Remove and insert the cartridge mechanically. Repeat the
process ten times.

3 During this process the burr will be removing.
4 Insert cartridge in the magazine.
5 Put the magazine back to the tape Library. Pull lightly on the magazine to check that it is
locked.
