5.8 Removing and Replacing a Magazine Using the RMU

8 The screen will now display Insert Left Magazine , or Insert Right Magazine . The Library
cannot perform any other operation until the magazine is replaced. After exchanging tapes
in a magazine, slide the magazine completely into the Library. Pull lightly on the magazine
to check that it is locked. The magazine will lock into place once it is correctly installed and
the Library will inventory the magazine.

Procedure
1 To login, enter the correct password, and press Enter.

2 Go to Operations > Magazines. This page (see Figure 5.10) allows the user to release the
right or left magazine from the Library.
3 Press the Release button.
