5.6 Replacing a Redundant Power Supply

■ Replacing the power supply
1 Unpack the new power supply from its package.
2 Slowly insert the new power supply into the bay, and align the connectors on the library
while supporting the power supply assembly.
3 Tighten the captive thumbscrews until the power supply is secure.
4 Replace the power cord cable.
5 Switch on power to the library (power button on the front panel).

1 Loosen the three screws on the library see Figure 5.8, step 1).
2 Unpack the redundant power supply from its package.
3 Slowly insert the new power supply into the bay (see Figure 5.8, step 2),
4 and align the connectors on the library while supporting the power supply assembly.
The second power supply can be installed without powering down the library.
