Shortening the Scanning Intervals [Pre-Pick]
Enable this to shorten the scanning time when scanning continuously.
"Pre-pick" refers to feeding the next document into the ADF before ejecting the current document being scanned
when scanning documents continuously.
1 Start up the Software Operation Panel.
For details, refer to Starting Up the Software Operation Panel (page 333).
2 From the listing on the left, select [Device Setting 2] → [Pre-Pick].
3 Specify whether or not to enable pre-pick.
Select [Yes] or [No].
The factory default setting is [Yes].
HINT
If you cancel in the middle of scanning while pre-pick is enabled, you have to remove the pre-picked
document, then load the document again.
This setting can also be configured in the following tools.
- For fi-8190/fi-8290/fi-8170/fi-8270
This setting can also be configured in the scanner driver or on the operator panel.
Note that priority is given to the scanner driver setting.
- For fi-8150/fi-8250/fi-8150U/fi-8250U
This setting can also be configured in the scanner driver.
