First-time setup of your device
Selecting a location
SelectingalocationDeviceM ainsadapter
Select a suitable location for the device before set ting it up. Follow
the instructions below when doing so:
Never place the device or the mains adapter on a heat-se nsitive surface.
The surface could be damaged as a result.
Never place the device on a soft surface (e.g. carpeting, upholstered furniture,
bed). This c an block the air vents and cause overheating and damage.
The u nderside of the device heats up during normal operation. Prolonged contact
with the skin may become unpleasant or even result in b urns.
Place the device on a stable, at, non-slippery surface. Please note that the
rubber feet of the device may mark certain types of delicate surfa ces.
Keep other objects at least 100 mm away from the device a nd its
mains adapter to ensure adequa te ventilation.
Never cover the ventilation slots of the device.
Do not expose the device to extreme environmental conditions. Protect
the device from dust, humidity, and hea t.

Observe the safety precautions in the enclosed "Safety" m anual.
The supplied power cable conforms to the requirements of the country in
which you purchased your device. Make sure that the power cable is approved
for use in the country in which y ou intend to use it.
The mains adapter’s power cable should only be connected to a mains socket
if the device is connected to the mains adapter.
Make sure t hat the rated current of the mains adapter is not higher than
that of the mains supply to which you connect the mains a dapter (see
chapter "Technica l Data" "
Mains adapter", Page 51).

Connect the mains adapter cable (1) to
the DC jack (DC IN) of the device.
Connect the power cab le (2) to the
mains a dapter.
Plug the power cable (3) into a m a ins outlet.
