Configuring Hardware and Utilities
8.1.6 Peripheral Configuration Submenu
This submenu appears when selecting "Peripheral Configuration" from the advanced menu.
Use this submenu to set the serial port, parallel port, etc.

Serial 1 Disabled
Enabled
Auto (Initial value)
Configures Serial Port 1.
You can set this item only when [Serial
Multiplexer] is set to [System].
Note:
Set this item to [Enabled] when"

Serial 1 Address 3F8h, IRQ 4 (Unchangeable) Configures I/O port address for Serial Port 1.

Configures function of Serial Port.
USB Enable Ports None
All (Initial value)
Sets whether or not to use the USB port.
USB 2.0 Host Controller
Disabled
Enabled (Initial value)
Sets whether or not to enable the USB controller
(2.0 standard).
You can set this item only when [USB Enable Ports]
is set to [All].
USB BIOS Supported
Devices
Auto (Unchangeable)
Sets whether the USB device can be used on the OS
that does not support USB.
You can set this item only when [USB Enable Ports]
is set to [All].
USB Boot Delay Os (Unchangeable) Sets the delay time by the second for initializing
USB mass storage device during the POST.
You can set this item only when [USB BIOS
Supported Devices] is set to [None].
