Installing/Removing the Server into/from the Rack Hardware Installation
4.2.1 Mounting into the PRIMECENTER/DataCenter
Rack
For mounting the server into the PRIMECENTER/DataCenter Rack the
following parts are necessary:
– support bracket
– one left and one right telescopic rail (assembled)
– M5-10 screws including plugwashers
I – Alternatively, M5x10 screws with separate plugwashers can be used.
In this case, two plugwashers must be pre-mounted at the support
uprights and the support bracket.
– In this section instructions and figures include the vario rail.
– General information are provided in the Technical Manual for the
PRIMECENTER and/or DataCenter Rack (see also “Related Publica-
tions” on page 103).
For mounting the left telescopic rail in the PRIMECENTER/DataCenter Rack,
the delivered support bracket must first be mounted on the rear left support
upright. The bracket must be mounted level with the lower edge of the device.

Ê Place the support bracket at the appropriate height on the left rear support
upright (insert the positioning nub (n) into the corresponding hole) and
secure the bracket as described in the Technical Manual of the corre-
sponding Rack.
