Installing/Removing the Server into/from the Rack Hardware Installation
Rack with clearance depth differing from 735 mm
For rack systems with clearance depth differing from 735 mm a length
adjustment of the delivered rails is to be made before mounting it into the rack.
This length adjustment is possible within the scope of the slide element.
Ê Mount the telescopic rails as described in section “Mounting into the PRIME-
CENTER/DataCenter Rack” on page 38.
Ê Mount the server (see section “Installing the Server” on page 42) and route
the cables as described in the original manual of the Rack.

Ê Attach the telescopic rail to the server, one onto each side (see arrow 1 in
figure 8). Push the telescopic rails towards the server front until they lock in
place (see arrow 2 in figure 8).
Ê Open the telescopic rails completely toward the front. They must click into
place so that you can no longer push them back.
