Hot-Plug PCI Error Indicator Lighting Troubleshooting and Tips
7.12 Hot-Plug PCI Error Indicator Lighting
MRL sensor was pressed without authorization
The locking slide for the relevant hot-plug PCI board bay was activated without
authorization.
V CAUTION!
The locking slide may only be activated if both indicators for the relevant
PCI slot are not lighting.
If there is a board in the PCI slot whose MRL sensor was illegally
pressed, an NMI is initiated (Blue Screen).
Ê Press the ON/OFF button for longer than five seconds or remove the power
plug(s).
Ê Reboot the server.
7.13 Hot-Plug PCI Power Indicator not Lighting
after Replacing the Board
Incorrect PCI board installed
Only PCI boards of the same type and with the same settings may be
exchanged.
If the boards do not match, the new board is not commissioned: the enable
sequence is aborted after five seconds and the flashing power indicator extin-
guishes.
Ê Check the new PCI board for type and settings (mode, speed).
Ê Repeat the replacement process.
