8 APPENDIX
8.1 CONFIGURATION UTILITY INSTALLATION
The installation consists of one file, RSDetectionConfigInstaller.exe. In some cases it may be
necessary to also update the unit firmware. In this case ensure that the new firmware is loaded
before installing the configuration utility. Refer to the Main Menu Functions section for details on
loading firmware.
WHEN VIEWING THE INSTALL FILES IN WINDOWS EXPLORER THE FILE EXTENSIONS
“.EXE” MAY NOT BE VISIBLE IF “HIDE EXTENSIONS FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES” IS
CHECKED.
THE RS DETECTION CONFIGURATION UTILITY INSTALLS THE PROGRAM FOR ALL
USERS ON A GIVEN PC. THE CUSTOMERS MUST ENSURE ONLY AUTHORIZED USERS
HAVE ACESS TO THE UTILITY.

1. Install the “Software/Manual CD” part number RS-S131-200-CD into the computer
2. Run the RSDetectionConfigInstaller.exe application and the dialog like above will be
displayed.
3. Click Next and the License Agreement appears as shown below.
