PID control can be enabled by setting parameter 10-03 to ‘xxx1b’
Commonly used PID control modes
0001b: Forward operation: PID operation enabled, motor speeds increases when feedback signal is smaller
than set-point (most fan and pump applications)
0011b: Reverse operation: PID operation enabled, motor slows down when feedback signal is smaller than set-
point (e.g. level control applications)
To set parameter 10-03:
- After power-up press the DSP/FUN key
- Set Group 10 (PID Control), and select parameter -03 with the UP/DOWN ▲ and ▼ keys and press the
READ/ENTER key.
To use the PID function parameter 00-05 (Main Frequency Command Source Selection) has to be set to 5 for PID
reference.
