Solvent Miscibility
Miscibility means that solvents should mix with each other in all proportions. Solvent
miscibility is important both during elution and when switching from one solvent to another.
Refer to the table below when selecting solvents. For some solvents, lower toxicity
alternatives are indicated [(1), (2), (3)], as follows:
(1) Dichloromethane
(2) Tetrahydrofuran
(3) Ethanol
