NOTICE
When you use a wrong calibration object, the calibration is incorrect.
When the calibration object does not match the calibration object data in
the software, the measuring system provides inaccurate data. The soft‐
ware only checks the correct type of the calibration panel but not the
serial number.
If you use several sensors, check the serial number of the calibration
object!
Compare the serial number of the calibration object with the serial
number of the calibration object in the GOM software!
10.3.2 Load Calibration Data
When you use a measuring volume for the first time, calibrate it first.
Import the corresponding calibration data into the software. If you pur‐
chased the measuring volume together with the complete ARAMIS sys‐
tem, the calibration data is already loaded.
Procedure:
1. Connect the storage medium corresponding to the calibration panel
to the measuring computer.
2. Start the software.
3.
Choose Edit Application Settings Preferences....
Choose Templates Calibration objects
.
4. Choose the calibration file with the extension .calobj from the storage
medium.
The calibration file is available in the software.
10.4 Calibration Procedure
The software guides you through the further calibration steps. In the first
step, ensure that the calibration object is in the center of the measuring
volume.
Enable (
) the Automatic exposure time.
In exceptional case, option Automatic exposure time cannot work cor‐
rectly.
Then, disable this option. To set the optimum exposure time for the cam‐
era image, use the exposure time wheel.
When the red overexposed areas are just no longer visible, an optimum
exposure time is given.
