Specifications
To reduce the risk of serious injury when using this machine:
1. Read and understand entire manual.
2. Always wear ANSI-approved safety glasses AND face shield.
3. Avoid getting entangled in rotating spindle or workpiece—tie
back long hair, roll up sleeves, and DO NOT wear loose
clothing, gloves, or jewelry.
4. Disconnect power before mounting workpiece, setting up,
adjusting, or servicing.
5. Make sure workpiece is properly and securely held and has
safe clearance through full rotation before starting lathe.
6. Always use the proper spindle speed for chuck rating and
workpiece material.
7. When first starting spindle rotation with a new workpiece
setup, use slowest spindle speed and stand to side of spindle
area until you verify that workpiece safely rotates.
8. Keep all guards and covers in place during operation.
9. Remove chuck key and all adjustment tools before starting.
10. Never touch rotating chuck or workpiece with hands.
11. DO NOT reverse spindle rotation while spindle is in motion.
12. Never leave lathe running unattended.
13. Do not operate under influence of drugs or alcohol, or when
excessively tired.
14. Properly support long workpieces with an appropriate rest.
15. Prevent unauthorized use by children or untrained users;
restrict access or disable machine when unattended.
