Automatic search programing (ASP)
Initiating the automatic search program
1 In the »TUNER« menu, press the »MENU« button on the remote control.
– The »TUNER MENU« appears.
2 In the »TUNER MENU« select the »PRESETS« item by pressing »A« or
»S« and then »OK« to confirm.
– The »TUNER PRESETS« menu appears.
3 From the »TUNER PRESETS« menu, select the »ASP SEARCH« item by
pressing »A« or »S« and then »OK« to confirm.
– The automatic search starts (the remote control display reads:
»SEARCHING...«) and the HiFi system looks for stations in the
following order: first RDS stations, then stations without RDS but with a
strong signal, finally stations with weak reception. The radio stations are
stored automatically.
– The HiFi display shows the current preset station number, »AS« (for
automatic search) and the frequency.
– When the automatic search has finished, the HiFi system switches to the
first radio station it finds.
Note:
If all the preset station numbers are full, the message »MEM FULL« briefly
appears in the HiFi display.
Checking stored radio stations
1 Select the preset station number by pressing »

– The HiFi system display shows the preset station number and the frequency.
If the current station transmits RDS information you will also see the name
of the station.
Note:
You can now sort the radio stations into the order you prefer. For more
information on this see Page 46.
