Tare rounding is enforced.

The International Organization of Legal Metrology is an intergovernmental body which
harmonizes the national metrology regulations of its world wide members. A list of regulation
publications may be obtained from the Bureau International de Métrologie Légale (BIML) in Paris,
France.
In order to configure the Model 250 to comply with OIML requirements, the OPTION:USE
parameter must be set to OIML. This ensures the following:
An overload condition will result when the gross weight exceeds nine graduations over the
full scale capacity.
Full scale capacity is always referenced from the last zero calibration reference, not the last
zero acquired by pressing [ZERO].

Audit trail parameters are designated on the Model 250 at power up. When in NTEP mode the
two individual parameters will be displayed (calibration counter and setup configuration) to
indicate changes to trade specific parameters.
When the OIML mode is enabled, only the calibration counter will be displayed.
Follow the instructions below to view the audit trail counter(s).
1. Press and hold the power key for 3 seconds to turn off the indicator.
2. Press the power key to turn the indicator back on.
3. The event counters will be displayed during the power up sequence for approximately two
seconds.
The calibration counter will be identified by C.xxxxx (example: C.00005).
The setup configuration counter will be identified by F.xxxxx (example: F.00005).

The most common sealing method is a lead-wire seal. The Model 250 provides an easy means of
applying this type of seal as shown in Figure 8.
The calibration mode is enabled or disabled by pushing a button marked “setup” located on the
rear of the indicator.
To seal the Model 250, the R.ENTRY parameter must be set to “ON”. Refer to page 31 for more
details. Follow the steps below to access and set the R.ENTRY parameter and place the lead
seal.
