Identifying IRF physical ports on the member switches
IMPORTANT:
For
the switch that provides 10-GE SFP+ ports, only the SFP+ ports can be used as IRF physical
ports when the switch runs Release 611x and Release 612x.
Identify the IRF physical ports on the member switches according to your topology and connection
scheme.
Table 8 shows the physical ports that can be used for IRF connection and the port use restrictions.

For switches with 52 ports, these ports are
divided into two groups: ports 1 to 24, port
51, and port 52 in one group and ports 25
to 50 in the other group.
To bind multiple ports to an IRF port, make
sure the ports are in the same group.
Ports in one group can be bound to
different IRF ports.
The IRF physical ports on the member
switches must be same type.

bound to different IRF ports.
The IRF physical ports on the member
switches must be same type.

The 20 GE ports are divided into two
groups: ports 51 and 52 in one group and
