Configuration terminal display problems
If the configuration environment setup is correct, the configuration terminal displays booting information
when the switch is powered on. If the setup is incorrect, the configuration terminal displays nothing or
garbled text.
No display
Symptom
The PC displays nothing when the switch is powered on.
Solution
To resolve the problem:
1. Verify that the power module is supplying power to the switch.
2. Verify that the console cable is correctly connected.
3. Verify that the console cable does not have any problems and the PC settings are correct.
4. If the problem persists, contact H3C Support.
Garbled display
Symptom
The display on the PC is garbled.
Solution
To resolve the problem:
1. Verify that the following settings are configured for the terminal:
{ Baud rate—9,600.
{ Data bits—8.
{ Parity—None.
{ Stop bits—1.
{ Flow control—None.
2. If the problem persists, contact H3C Support.
