C A U T I O N
Chemical exposure hazard. Dispose of chemicals and wastes in accordance with local, regional and
national regulations.
Install the analyzer indoors, in a non-hazardous environment.
Install the analyzer in an environment that is protected from corrosive fluids.
Install the analyzer in a clean, dry, well-ventilated and temperature-controlled location.
Install the analyzer as near to the sampling point as possible.
Do not install the analyzer in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
Make sure that there is sufficient clearance to make plumbing and electrical connections.
Make sure to leave sufficient space in front of the analyzer to open the analyzer door. Refer to
Analyzer dimensions.
Make sure that the ambient conditions are within operating specifications. Refer to Specifications
on page 3.
Although the analyzer is not designed for use with flammable samples, some EZ-analyzers use
flammable reagents. If the analyzer uses flammable reagents, make sure to obey the safety
precautions that follow:
Keep the analyzer away from heat, sparks and open flame.
Do not eat, drink or smoke near the analyzer.
Use a local exhaust ventilation system.
Use spark and explosion-proof appliances and lighting system.
Prevent electrostatic discharges. Refer to Electrostatic discharge (ESD) considerations
on page 14.
Fully clean and dry the instrument before use.
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of the working period.
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash clothing before reuse.
These fluids must be handled in accordance with local regulatory agency requirements on
permissible exposure limits.
5.2 Mechanical installation
5.2.1 Attach the instrument to a wall

equipment.

wall, table or floor for a safe operation.
